CVector Raises $1.5M Pre-Seed Round Led by Schematic Ventures

July 24, 2025 - CVector announced a $1.5M pre-seed round led by Schematic Ventures to build out its AI platform for industrial operators, combining physics-based modeling with real-time asset and market data (reported by TechCrunch).

As reported by TechCrunch

We're excited to share that CVector has closed a $1.5 million pre-seed funding round led by Schematic Ventures. It's an important early milestone fora company built around a simple idea: industrial systems generate enormous amounts of data, but turning that data into decisions people can actually trust and act on in real time is still an unsolved problem.

Why we started CVector

CVector was founded in November 2024 by a team of engineers and researchers with backgrounds at Shell and CERN. We saw firsthand how much operational insight gets left on the table in industrial environments - not because the data doesn't exist, but because connecting high-fidelity machine data to system-wide economic decisions is genuinely hard, and mission-critical control systems leave little room for error.

That's the gap we're building CVector to close: a data backbone for industrial AI that fuses ultra-high-fidelity asset data with dynamic signals like energy prices, weather, and market conditions. Legacy data stacks were never built for AI or for how fast conditions change on the ground, CVector gives operators one unified system to see what's happening across their operations and act on it with confidence.

What this funding will do

This round accelerates development of our platform - giving operators a foundation to plug in AI agents, run hybrid physics-informed models, and deploy self-healing troubleshooting that adapts to how each site actually operates. We're also building on a strong security foundation, as CVector achieved ISO 27001 certification in June 2025, reflecting our commitment to enterprise-grade deployments from day one.

"CVector is building the brain and nervous system for industrial assets. We're giving operators and engineers a foundation to plug in AI, understand system-wide behavior, and act with speed and precision. This round will help us bring that capability to even more mission-critical environments."

Richard Zhang, CVector’s co-founder and CEO

"We go far beyond data collection. With CVector, operators can run complex techno-economic modeling at the edge. It's not just about insight - it's about automated action and real operational lift."

Tyler Ruggles, CVector’s co-founder and CTO

Backed by operators, for operators

We're bringing hardened lessons from finance, oil & gas, and racing into industrial operations - sectors where split-second, high-stakes decisions are the norm. Our adaptive AI layer learns from how operators actually work, enabling faster root-cause analysis, smarter troubleshooting, and more proactive planning, all grounded in long-term historical trends and physical system understanding.

"CVector is solving one of the most fundamental gaps in industrial AI: making operational data truly usable. Their platform is purpose-built for factories and field environments. We believe CVector will be foundational infrastructure for the autonomous industrial systems of tomorrow."

Julian Counihan, General Partner at Schematic Ventures

What's next

This funding lets us grow the team, expand our product capabilities, and keep serving facilities across some of the world's most demanding operational environments. We're building toward a future where industrial systems operate near-autonomously, guided by real-time intelligence, adaptive AI, and secure, self-healing control. We're just getting started, and we're grateful to Schematic Ventures and our whole team for believing in this mission early.
